Free Drinks

Many players approach playing at a casino in the same way as going to a fun party.  They get to play games, chat with friends and indulge in a few (or several) “adult beverages”.  One of the features that make the casino even better than a party is that you get your drink delivered to you by a young, attractive cocktail waitress in a sexy costume, usually with a wink and a smile.  And the best part?  The drinks are totally free!

Or are they?  Obviously, the casino has to cover the cost of the alcohol somehow, so how do players earn as many free drinks as they can handle?  In much the same way as casinos offer their guests free hotel rooms, meals and other gifts, the revenue they make from a player’s losses will more than cover the cost of a few bottles of beer, glasses of wine or shots of tequila.

With that in mind, the best way to guarantee that a player receives a free drink is to play.  Whether you are seated at a slot machine, hovering over a blackjack hand or crowding around a roulette table, players get treated better when they play, and the higher their bets, the better their treatment in most cases.  Also, since intoxicated players often make losing decisions, the casino still profits from their so-called “free” drinks.

Players should keep two major factors in mind when ordering their drinks.  The first is to be prepared with their order and to keep it as simple as possible.  Cocktail waitresses must often cover multiple tables all over the casino floor; they don’t have time for you to make up your mind.  The other thing to remember is to tip the waitress at least US$1 (depending on the local currency) per drink.  Waitresses make most of their income on tips, and will often give better service according to the player’s tips and attitude.
